It seems like just yesterday we did their engagement session in downtown Frankfort! In fact, Beth & Alex held their wedding at Liberty Hall Historic Site, right down the road from some of those photos. Beth’s beautiful dress came from The White Dress of Lexington! Instead of a veil, she wore detachable tulle wings with her low open back dress. Very unique and quite stunning!

Liberty Hall is a beautiful venue for outdoor weddings in downtown Frankfort, and there is a ton of visual variety for photographs. Right next to Liberty Hall is Riverview Park, and that’s where Alex and Beth did their first look. A growing number of couples are doing a first look, and it makes a lot of sense for many different reasons. It helps cut down on any jitters or nerves, and first looks really help keep your wedding day timeline neat and tidy. From a photographic standpoint, it’s nice to be able to knock out some portraits of the couple as well as the bridal party before the ceremony. This means more time after the ceremony to spend with friends and family!
