Downtown La Grange Wedding | Eileen & John

After shooting Eileen & John’s engagement session at a private quarry, I couldn’t wait to head back to La Grange for their wedding!

We showed up early to scope out the area and press palms with the other vendors. I always show up early for weddings as I think it helps the day go smoothly. It gives me a fresh look at the venue and an opportunity to go through the timeline with the other vendors so we’re all on the same sheet of music. It also gives me a little more time to shoot things like details and the venue being prepared.

The venue, The Gallery at Gatewood, is a beautiful building with a ton of character right on La Grange’s Main Street, and the owner and her daughter are some of the nicest people you’ll meet. The upstairs gets an impressive amount of gorgeous natural light, and you’ll likely see a train going by on the tracks right outside.

I had never been to La Grange, KY, before meeting Eileen and John, but I can say now that it is absolutely beautiful!
